| Abstract | 本论文以翻译理论与实践为基础，从社会语言学、文化语言学、跨文化传播学和对外宣传等角度，对汉语时政新词语的英译进行了初步的系统研究。首先，对汉语新词语及汉语时政新词语的范畴进行了界定，为进一步探讨汉语时政新词语的英译奠定了基础。然后从翻译的理论出发，回顾了中外历史上对翻译的定义、原则和标准的各派说法。接着本论文对汉语时政新词语英译的特点和难点进行了具体的分析：其特殊性就在于它带有鲜明的对外宣传性质，是一种更高要求的跨文化传播活动；难就难在它的“新”让大多英译无先例可援。除此之外，此类词语反映的是中国现时独特的 |
