|Other Abstract||Since the rise of Chinese as a foreign language, the cultural teaching has been in a stage of steady progress, with actively exploration of the application of cultural content in it by scholars. As a shining star in the long river of Chinese culture, Chinese myth has its unique charm, however, it is ignored in the introducing process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language (TCFL), which is a pity for cultural communication as it has not been consistent with the status of myth in traditional Chinese culture. Myth in TCFL has great possibilities and practical operations. Based on the general situation of Chinese myth teaching, the content and spirit of times of myth are combined in this paper as the international students in Lanzhou University are taken as the teaching object, so as to discuss the setting of the myth curriculum.
This paper has been divided into four parts altogether.
As the first part, the introduction elaborates the reason and significance of this paper from the cultural status and practical basis of myth teaching. According to the literature related to culture teaching and myth teaching for international students, this paper is reviewed in order to explore the gaps in the existing research on myths in the foreign teaching of myths in order to find new innovative points and ideas, then write paper by combining the methods of investigation, comparison and analysis.
The teaching situation of Chinese mythology are analyzed in the second part, which analyzes the demand of myth in the curriculum syllabus for foreign students, the status quo of myth teaching in the cultural teaching for foreign students and the status quo of myth teaching for foreign students in universities, so as to explore the deficiency and shortage of myth in the cultural teaching and explore the necessity and feasibility of setting up the myth course.
The curriculum design of myth teaching for international students is taken as the third part. Based on a series of theoretical basis and design principles, this paper introduces the myth of the outline of teaching designs (including title selecting, types, classes, objects, difficult points, contents, methods and strategies), and focuses on classroom teaching strategies. In this way, the practical method of teaching is supposed to be explored from fairy tale, myth characters and spirit of myths.
In the fourth part, improvement strategies and suggestions are put forward according to teaching feedback.|
